Any personal data collection & processing is done with the sole intent to enable (and improve) our service, and we treat these data with the utmost care. We never share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy statement applies to the usage of the Basal Basics website and its service provided through this website. This privacy statement is valid from 01/01/2019 onwards, until a succeeding privacy statement is published. The preceding privacy statement then becomes null & void. This privacy statement describes what kind of personal data is collected, with what intent this information is to be used and under which circumstances this information may be shared with third parties.

What sort of personal data does Basal Basics process?

We only process personal data that is needed to support our service. This includes name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

Web shop software

Woocommerce
The Basal Basics webshop is made using Woocommerce software. Personal data that is shared in pursuit of purchasing through the webshop is shared with Woocommerce. Woocommerce will use the personal data that has been shared only to assist the Basal Basics webshop. Woocommerce is secured with an SSL certificate and is a certified party to handle credit card information. Woocommerce uses functional cookies in order to gather technical information, they do not collect or store any personal data. Woocommerce reserves the right to use data within their own organization in order to improve its services. Woocommerce respects the statutory retention periods. The EU/US Privacy Shield is in place, data may be processed in The United States of America.

Gmail
Basal Basics uses Gmail email service. Gmail has taken the appropriate measures to prevent misuse, corruption, and loss of personal data. Gmail does not have access to our inbox, all of Basal Basics email traffic is confidential.

Payment processors

Mollie
The Mollie platform is used for payment processing on the Basal Basics website. Mollie processes the customer name, address, and bank / credit card information. Mollie has taken appropriate measures to protect all personal data collected. Mollie reserves the right to use data within their own organization to improve its services. Anonymous data may be shared with third parties in pursuit of improving services. Mollie respects applicable statutory retention periods.

SSL certificate
The Basal Basics website uses an SSL certificate, which means that connections between our web server and browser are encrypted.

Shipping

Misi
Misi takes care of the shipping, logistics and invoicing for Basal Basics. It is therefore necessary that Basal Basics share certain personal data with Misi, such as the customers name and address. Misi will only use this personal data for the purpose of executing a shipment, logistical requirements and invoicing.

Invoicing and accounting

Woocommerce
Woocommerce acts as a sub-contractor to Basal Basics for administrative tasks and accounting services. For this purpose personal data such as name and address and product order details may be shared. This information is used for administration of invoices only and kept strictly confidential. Woocommerce is legally held to confidentiality while handling personal data and will not share or use personal data for any other purpose than previously described.

Automatically collected data

Any data that is automatically collected is on the Basal Basics website is used to improve Basal Basics services. This data (anonymous ip-address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.

Cookies

The Basal Basics website has functional cookies, analytical cookies, and marketing cookies. These cookies serve to monitor no. of visits to our website, contents of the shopping cart and previous purchases in order to identify relevant offerings for a visitor. Cookies only function with visitor consent and preferences can always be changed

Our data processing practice does not use either of such tools, which removes any cause for exercising these rights.
